Company History
Founded in 2015, Expedition Executive Search was built on the mission: to do right by the talent community. By leveraging big-company best practices, we identified a critical market need for genuine executive search solutions. Initially focused on mining and accounting search, the firm has since evolved into a specialized leader in the space industry. This evolution addressed a significant gap left by major search firms—the lack of client-focused, intimate relationships, and meaningful connections.
After a brief hiatus to deepen expertise in the space sector, Expedition Executive reemerged stronger, with hands-on experience leading talent acquisition for spacecraft programs at a premier defense contractor. Knowledge growth was further enhanced through participation in the world’s first executive master’s program in space leadership, business, and policy at Arizona State University’s Thunderbird School of Global Management. Thunderbird’s prestigious program, ranked #1 in management by The Wall Street Journal, is equivalent to a STEM MBA for the space industry. The program’s leadership featured distinguished professionals, including the former White House Liaison for NASA, NASA’s Deputy CFO, and directors from various NASA locations.
As part of this transformative program, behind-the-scenes insights were gained through on-site tours of leading organizations such as NASA Armstrong, NASA JPL, Kennedy Space Center, Space Force, Blue Origin, Relativity Space, Red Wire, Space Florida, Phantom Space, and Rocket Lab. These experiences enriched our understanding of the space ecosystem, enabling us to better address the unique challenges and opportunities within the industry.
Expedition Executive Search has been in business ten years and combines decades of executive search experience, talent acquisition leadership, and cutting-edge education in space leadership. This unique blend empowers us to help our clients make transformative hires that propel their organizations forward—from the moon to Mars and beyond.
Let Expedition chart the course to your next mission-critical hire.
